Police Blotter: Café Condom and The Attack of the Grapes

Here's a rundown of crime and police activity in Pacifica.

Aug 10 – 10:42 a.m: Vandalism was reported on a walking trail at San Pedro Terrace Road. Graffiti was sighted, reading “F--k P.P.D” and “M.A.N.G.O.” among other phrases.

Aug. 11 A occurred on the 500 block of Re. Del Mar Avenue. The victim was a 32-year-old female Pacifica resident, Darla Napora. A necropsy has since been performed on the deceased dog suspected of the attack, and evidence was found that Napora’s pit bull had in fact been responsible.

Aug. 12 2:28 a.m: An assault was reported on the 1100 block of Esplanade Avenue. The reporting party alleged he woke to find his wife had been stabbed in the arm by a nephew staying in the couple’s residence. At the time the report was made, the suspect was still in the home armed with the knife. Police took the suspect into custody.

1:31 p.m: Café Condom? A woman reported she had found a used condom in her to-go bag from a Starbucks on Hickey Boulevard. The woman suspected a man who was standing “close” to her in the coffee shop. Surveillance footage was requested from the business.

7:15 p.m: An unknown suspect reportedly stole four bottles of alcohol from Safeway at Linda Mar Center. The male suspect walked out of the store with four Sauza Tequila Gold bottles and left the area by vehicle.

Aug. 13 2:15 p.m: An attempted residential burglary was reported on the 200 block of Sunshine Drive. A neighbor reported seeing an unknown subject attempting to gain access to the residence through a living room window and the would-be burglar then left the area in a vehicle.

Aug. 14 8:59 a.m: A resident of the 200 block of Beachview Avenue reported the theft of about $1,000 dollars in quarters from her residence. A burglar was suspected to have entered the home from an unsecured sliding door that was usually left open for the victim’s cats.

2 p.m: Memorial plaques from concrete benches on a walking path at 4400 Cabrillo Highway were reported stolen.

7:33 p.m: Attack of the grapes. A man entered Safeway at Manor Plaza. When he was denied the sale of alcohol, the man allegedly threw apples and grapes at a store employee. The man also reportedly pushed a customer. When a report was made to the man had left the store and walked to nearby bar.

Aug. 15 6:36 a.m: Pacifica Police were asked to patrol the residential area around the 400 block of Gateway Drive. A resident reported a homeless encampment and two dogs were sighted behind the Summit at Skyline apartment complex.

Aug. 16 5:30 a.m: A vehicle was reported stolen from the parking lot of on Manor Drive. A patron had left his unlocked car there while he went into the convenient store and returned to find it missing.
