Police Blotter: Baby's First Dumping Complaint, Rolling Concrete and Please, Not the Tenderloin

A rundown of recent crime and police activity in Pacifica.

July 19 - 9:42a.m. Vandalism was reported at Sanchez Art Center at 1220 Linda Mar Boulevard, when a groundskeeper noticed tire marks on the soccer field.

July 20 - 2p.m. A woman reported her purse stolen from the trunk of her car. She had parked in the Pacifica Council Chambers parking lot when the incident occurred. 6p.m. A group of unknown suspects, believed to be juveniles, vandalized the Rissho Kosei Kai Buddhist Church on the 1300 block of Valencia Way. Overnight, the suspects had rolled heavy pieces of concrete and rocks down the redwood stairway of the church leaving significant damage to the planks. 7:15p.m. A patron of the Shell gas station at Rockaway Beach reported that his wallet was stolen on the premises. 7:25p.m. An unknown suspect broke the window of a residence on the 400 block of Coral Ridge Drive to gain entry. As a neighbor witness the break-in the would be tresspasser was scared off.

July 21 - 4:30p.m. An unknown suspect stole the tire off a vehicle parked in a shared carport on the 200 block of Gateway Drive.

July 22 - 2:48p.m. A dumping complaint was reported due to a bag full of infant clothing left in the street on Salada Avenue and Palmetto Avenue. 7:57p.m. An adult individual had reportedly bought alcohol for a minor.

July 23 - 1:40p.m. A man was reportedly causing a disturbance in the parking lot of Sharp Park Golf Course. The man was threatening another individual and threw a glass at the victim. No injuries were reported. 4:39p.m. A man was reportedly witnessed holding a woman against her will in a vehicle at Linda Mar Shopping Center. The reporting party claimed to hear the woman say "let me go." The male suspect was later detained.

July 24 - 1:29a.m. Two men had allegedly engaged in a shoving match which escalated into a physical fight. 1:37p m. A male panhandler was seen at the intersection of Manor Drive and Oceana Boulevard. The reporting party claimed that they did not "want our city to end up like the Tenderloin district of San Francisco."

July 25 - 3:53p.m. A resident of the 1100 block of Seville Drive reported that tools were stolen from a vehicle parked in front of their home
