Police Blotter: A Missing Magnolia Tree, a Lumber Heist, a Schoolyard Fight Caught on Tape and an Incomplete Raccoon

A rundown of recent police activity and crime in Pacifica

Feb 7 - 1:29p.m: Six juveniles were reported to Pacifica Police for the theft of two bottles of Bacardi alcohol from Linda Mar Center Safeway on Friday night. 1:30p.m: "A schoolyard fight caught on tape" Two juvenile males engaged in fisticuffs at Terra Nova High School, and were caught on school surveillance video. One of the juveniles attempted to flee the scene via SamTrans bus. 

Feb 8 - 1:08a.m: A driver was cited for driving under the influence (DUI), on Cabrillo Highway. 4:42a.m: A suspicious male was cited for going through recycling bins on the 400 block of Norfolk Drive, a penal code violation. 2:14p.m: A pit bull owner was cited for off-leash walking of his dog on the levee of Sharp Park Beach. 3:20p.m: Unknown would-be thieves pried-open the storage shed on Terra Nova High School's softball field. No property was removed. 3:47p.m: "A 4x4 Heist" An unknown suspect reportedly removed about six to eight pieces of lumber, known as "four-by-four's," from a construction site on Cabrillo Highway. The suspect was said to be driving a black, Chevy truck." 6p.m: A resident on the 300 block of Firecrest Avenue reported a raccoon to animal control. The resident described the raccoon as missing a chunk of fur (could it be the same raccoon)

Feb. 9 - 4:45p.m: Accidental damage was reported at the Chevron on Milagra Drive. A hose had been ripped from one of the gas pumps. 8:40p.m. "A missing Magnolia Tree" An unknown thief dug-up a 4-5 foot tall Magnolia Tree from the front yard of a resident on Big Bend Drive. The tree was last seen in full-bloom with purple Magnolias.

Feb. 10 - 1:57a.m: A driver was cited for driving under the influence (DUI) at the intersection of Reina Del Mar and Cabrillo Highway. 6:45p.m: A false alarm. The manager at US Bank, on Oceana Boulevard, accidentally set off the bank's motion detector and police were alerted. 8:27p.m: An un-neighborly exchange on Canyon Drive. One resident reported to Pacifica Police that a neighbor had threatened to "beat up" and "blow up" the vehicle of the caller. That neighbor in-turn called police to report the caller's vehicle without license plates.

Feb. 11 - 5:46a.m: A driver was cited for driving under the influence on the 200 block of Sunshine Drive. 7:53p.m: An anonymous caller reported four males causing a disturbance outside of the Norcal Surf Shop on Cabrillo Highway. None of the men were underage, but were drinking alcohol in front of the store.

Feb. 12 - 1:28a.m: Two females were reported to police for being drunk in public in the parking lot of the Motor Inn on Rockaway Beach Avenue. The women were allegedly yelling, screaming and "seemed aggressive." 3:19p.m: An unknown suspect smashed the window of a vehicle in the parking lot of Linda Mar Educational Center, on Rosita Road. The suspect stole a purse and wallet containing $98 dollars in cash from the victim's vehicle.
