Police incidents from the past week.

Thursday, Sept. 30

12:16 a.m.  A resident reported seeing a man wearing dark clothing carrying a sledgehammer and a drill on the 300 block of Esplanade Avenue. Police were unable to locate the suspicious subject.

7:16 p.m.  The driver of a green Toyota was driving under the influence with three passengers on Cabrillo Highway and Linda Mar Boulevard. Another motorist said the Toyota passed them on Devil's Slide and someone from inside the vehicle threw a bottle at them.

7:25 p.m. A citizen on the 400 block of Manor Drive was attacked by a Boxer-type dog and knocked into the street. Police were unable to locate the dog.

10:02 p.m.  Partygoers created a noise disturbance on the 1200 block of Terra Nova Boulevard. The partiers were playing beer pong in a back yard and are believed to be underage.

11:40 p.m.  A citizen reported a suspicious circumstance on the 1300 block of Linda Mar Boulevard. A subject with his pants around his ankles was seen along the fence near a bank.

Wednesday, Sept. 29

5:59 p.m. A man on the 1300 block of Adobe Drive was upset by someone playing the drums in front of his home.

4:36 p.m. Embezzlement via a rental property was reported on the 800 block of Rockaway Beach Avenue.

7:16 p.m. Juveniles on the 900 block of Linda Mar Boulevard caused a disturbance while skateboarding and throwing objects behind a restaurant. The juveniles were seen attempting break railing near the restaurant.

Tuesday, Sept. 28

12:32 p.m. A concerned resident on the 1000 block of Tapis Way suspects that one of her neighbors has trapped her cat in the neighbor's back yard. The neighbor has admitted to killing the woman's other cats.

1:48 p.m. Cyber bullying was reported at Oceana High School.

5:57 p.m. A resident on the 1400 block of Alicante Drive found a threatening letter left in his mailbox.

Monday, Sept. 27

1:05 p.m. A woman reported domestic violence on Shoreview Avenue.

5:17 p.m. A white Toyota Camry was vandalized on the 200 block of Gateway Drive. The tires were slashed, two hubcaps were missing and a side mirror was broken.

Sunday, Sept. 26

9:19 a.m. Five skateboards were stolen on Palmetto and Paloma avenues.

1:56 p.m. A possible shark sighting occurred in the last 45 minutes on the 5100 block of Cabrillo Highway.

2:31 p.m. A water rescue occurred near Palmetto Avenue and Westline Drive, north of Mussel Rock. A couple was reportedly trapped in a cave with rising water.

Saturday, Sept. 25

7:14 a.m. A business on the 1300 block of Linda Mar Boulevard was burglarized. The front window was broken and $350 in cash is missing.

2:39 p.m. A U-Haul truck hit a parked Mercedes Benz on the 1300 block of Palmetto Avenue.

10:20 p.m. Subjects were yelling profanities on the 1500 block of Francisco Boulevard.
