Police Arrest Drunk Driver Who Careened Off Skyline Boulevard

21-year-old San Bruno man narrowly missed hitting a pine tree Saturday night.

Pacifica Police arrested a 21-year-old San Bruno motorist after he drove across an oncomng lane of traffic and off Skyline Boulevard allegedly while drunk Saturday morning. 

Police, along with medics and North Coast County Fire Authority units, responded to calls of a vehicle off the road north of Manor Drive at approximately 4:30a.m. Saturday morning, Pacifica Police Chief Jim Tasa said. Police located the vehicle about 30 ft. down the hillside from Skyline Boulevard.

Bryan Aldequer, the motorist, told police that he had fallen asleep at the wheel while driving northbound on the roadway. Officers smelled alcohol on him and about the vehicle, however, and after conducting field sobriety tests placed him under arrest and took him to a detoxification facility, said Chief Tasa.

According to a police investigation at the scene, Aldequer narrowly missed crashing into a large pine tree when he drove off the road.
