Pedestrian on a Scooter Struck By a Car at Linda Mar Boulevard

Within the past three months there have been six reported pedestrian and car collisions in Pacifica.

An 80-year-old man on an electric mobility scooter was struck by a car Wednesday at the intersection of Linda Mar Boulevard and Peralta, police said.

At approximately 3:20 p.m., Pacifica Police responded to a report that a man was down in the roadway after being hit by a car. Police found him in the roadway with major injuries to his head and torso. He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment. He remained in the
hospital in stable condition today, police said.

The driver of the vehicle, a 43-year-old Pacifica resident was not injured in the crash and is cooperating with the investigation, said police.

Preliminary investigation indicates the driver was not intoxicated at the time of the collision.

An investigator from the Pacifica Police Department CRASH collision investigation team was present at the scene during the investigation. The investigation into this collision is continuing.
