Pacifica Traffic Collision Ends in DUI Arrest
A 51-year-old resident of San Bruno driving under the influence of alcohol was identified as the driver causing the accident.
A man was seriously injured in a suspected drunken driving crash in Pacifica on Saturday, a police spokesman said.
At approximately 7:20 p.m., Pacifica Police units were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 1 and Linda Mar Boulevard on a report of a traffic collision with injuries, Pacifica police Capt. Daniel Steidle said.

The collision involved two vehicles within the intersection when Sharman O’Brien, a 51-year-old resident of San Bruno, driving a Mazda allegedly went through a red light and collided with a Ford pickup truck, Steidle said. The truck's driver was not hurt, but a passenger in the Mazda, a 54-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, he said.
Personnel from the North County Fire Authority and American Medical Response also responded and treated the male passenger who was suffering from serious injuries.

The driver, identified as O'Brien, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence causing injury, police said.
The case remains under investigation by Pacifica police.
