Pacifica Police Seek Man Who Tried To Lure Girl, 10, Into His Truck

The young girl was waiting for a ride home from a Pacifica school, when she was approached by the suspect in a white delivery-style van, according to police.

By Bay City News Service:

Pacifica police Wednesday are searching for any leads in a case where a man in a delivery truck tried to lure a 10-year old into his vehicle last Friday.

The young girl was waiting for a ride home from a family member at the intersection of Johnson and Nelson avenues near Ocean Shore School around 1 p.m.

While the girl waited, a man his 40s approached her in a white delivery-style van and asked her if she wanted a ride home, according to police.

He apparently tried to sway her to come, but she refused and instead headed back onto school grounds to report the incident.

The man, described as having bushy black hair with a ponytail, a beard with no mustache and of an unknown race, drove away in an unknown direction, police said.

The man is described as having a medium build and wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Pacifica Police Department at (650) 738-7314. The report is No. 14-1641.
