Pacifica Police Search for Witness To Weekend Assault

A man was found on the ground Saturday with serious injuries to his face and head.

The Pacifica Police are looking for witnesses to an apparent assault that took place over the weekend.

Officers responded to reports of a man down near 290 Fairway Drive at about 7:26 a.m. on Saturday, according to Pacifica police.

Arriving officers found a 22-year-old man on the ground with serious injuries to his face and head, police said.

The man, a Pacifica resident, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and police believe he had been the victim of an assault.

He was released Wednesday from the hospital after spending days in the intensive care unit, according to Pacifica Police.
