Pacifica Police Offer Reward For Information on Recent Car Vandalism

Officers identified eight vehicles in the Park Pacifica area that had been damaged overnight.

The Pacifica Police Department is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for vandalizing cars in the Park Pacifica neighborhood Tuesday night.

Pacifica Police responded to the area of Rosita Road and Oddstad Boulevard Wednesday morning  for a report of numerous vehicles with shattered windows, according to Captain Daniel Steidle of the Pacifica Police Department.

Officers identified eight vehicles that had been damaged overnight. The damage to windows and vehicle panels indicates the damage was likely caused by a BB or pellet being fired, said Steidle.

Pacifica resident Annie T writes into Patch, "Windows were broken, some damage on cars’ bodies. Please, watch your cars."

No suspects have been identified at this time.

"It’s likely someone moving around and targeting multiple vehicles. While not frequent, we have had cases over the years where this does occur. Unfortunately, there is often numerous vehicles that are damaged  in a brief period of time," said Steidle.

Residents are asked to contact the police department if they have any information regarding these crimes, or to report suspicious persons or vehicles in their neighborhoods.
