The men were arrested Friday morning.

Two men were arrested Friday morning in connection with an armed robbery in Pacifica earlier this week.

Jared Lee Laplante, 27, and Trevor Ryan Jodsaas, 26, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy in connection with the Wednesday afternoon robbery, according to Pacifica police.

At about 1 p.m. Wednesday, a man arrived at the Pacifica Police Department to report he had been the victim of an armed robbery.

The man told officers he had met with an acquaintance at that person's home in the Manor Area of Pacifica, who was later joined by two other men.

The acquaintance then allegedly displayed a semiautomatic handgun and demanded money and property from the victim, according to police.

The victim was then allowed to leave the area.

An investigation by the Pacifica Police Department led to the identity of the suspect. A search warrant was then obtained for the suspect’s home and property.

Due to the fact that a dangerous weapon was involved in the commission of the crime, the Daly City SWAT Team was asked to assist in the service of the search warrant.

At about 7:15 a.m. Friday, officers from the Pacifica Police Department and the Daly City SWAT team served the search warrant. The house was surrounded and the occupants were ordered to exit.

Two of the subjects were positively identified as being involved in the robbery, and Pacifica officers were able to locate a handgun similar to one described as being used in the robbery.

The two suspects -- Laplante and Jodsaas -- were arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail. Laplante was also arrested on suspicion of being a felon in Possession of a Firearm).
