Pacifica Parolee Sentenced to Nine Years For Drug Felonies

Anthony Delgadillo will do a stint in state prison after San Francisco Police Officers discovered drugs, a firearm and ammunition in his home and car.

A 23-year-old Pacifica man on parole for a 2004 robbery conviction was sentenced to nine years in prison yesterday for possessing several kinds of drugs with the intent to sell.

San Francisco Police Department Gang Unit Officers conducted a parole search on Anthony Delgadillo’s home and car on Imperial Drive in Pacifica on June 3, 2009. In his car they found a loaded .45 semi-automatic handgun. In his home they found four ounces of cocaine, 553 MDMA pills, one gram of MDMA powder, 65 grams of marijuana, multiple boxes of ammunition, $24,416 in cash, a digital scale, evidence of drug sales and a San Francisco Police report showing that one of his friends was a police informant, said San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe. Officers also found two bags of marijuana on Delgadillo’s person.

Officers interviewed the parolee and he took responsibility for the drugs and gun.

Delgadillo pleaded guilty to three felony drug violations in front of a jury on December 6, 2010. He was placed into custody with a $250,000 bail at that time.

In court yesterday, Delgadillo addressed Judge Lisa Novak, who was to sentence him, and apologized. He asked her for leniency, said Wagstaffe.

With a potential maximum sentence of 15 years in prison, Judge Novak opted for a nine-year prison sentence. Delgadillo will be eligible for parole and a four-year formal term of probation after about seven years and two months of his prison term, said Wagstaffe.

He was immediately taken into custody and will be transported to San Quentin State Prison within a week, said Wagstaffe.
