Pacifica Officers Awarded for DUI Enforcement Efforts

Pacifica Police officers made 126 arrests for driving under the influence in 2012.

Last week the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) in conjunction with Mother’s Against Drunk Drivers (MADD), and San Mateo County AVOID the 23 hosted their annual Law Enforcement Recognition and DUI Training Seminar in Foster City.

This seminar is an annual event where officers arresting the most DUI drivers in their respective agencies are recognized for their enforcement efforts.

For the calendar year 2012, the Pacifica Police Department proudly announce the following award winners:

Officer Joe Fava, 17 arrests

Officer Steve Stump, 16 arrests

Corporal William McDonald, 15 arrests

Corporal Steve Mansker, 12 arrests

In addition to the efforts of these officers, Pacifica Police officers made 126 arrests for DUI in 2012.

"The efforts of these officers are indicative of our commitment to community service," said chief of police Jim Tasa, "and our dedication to the cause of keeping drunk drivers off of the streets of Pacifica."
