Pacifica Man Pleads Not Guilty to 'Vicious' Murder
The victim was found with more than 50 wounds to his body.
A 24-year-old man pleaded not guilty on Friday to the "vicious" murder of another man earlier this year in Pacifica, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office.
Pacifica resident Marc Furlan is accused of stabbing and bludgeoning to death Keith Coffey on Oct. 17 in a Linda Mar neighborhood, District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
Furlan allegedly used a knife and a hammer to kill Coffey following an arugment in Furlan's home.

Prosecutors say Furlan was trying to clean up the "bloody crime scene" and was beginning to dispose of the body when police arrived. Coffey was found with more than 50 wounds to his body, according to prosecutors.
Furlan, who is in custody without bail, is due back in court on Jan. 30 to set a preliminary hearing date.
