North County firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire in Pacifica Sunday that damaged a single-family home and displaced one person.

Firefighters were called to 1176 Cervantes Way at 1:41 p.m. on a report of a structure fire, according to a North County Fire Authority official.

Flames were coming from the back of the house when firefighters arrived and heavy, black smoke was coming from the eaves of the one-story house, officials said.

All residents were able to evacuate safely and fire crews contained the fire to the garage and front dining room area, officials said.

There were no injuries, but one resident was displaced and will be assisted by the American Red Cross.

The fire's cause remains under investigation.
