Pacifica Attorney Arrested on Suspicion of Delivering Jailed Client Contraband

Erika Jordening is accused of giving her client drugs in a Tuesday evening jail visit.

A Pacifica lawyer visiting Maguire Correctional Facility for the purpose of dispensing legal counsel is accused of taking attorney-client privilege to another level.

Erika Jordening also dispensed drugs during a Tuesday evening visit with her client, authorities said.

The 43-year-old attorney was arrested on suspicion of bringing contraband to a jail facility and conspiracy, sheriff's deputies said.

Aaron Rauls, the client she was visiting, is also 43 of Pacifica, sheriff's deputies said.

A San Mateo County Sheriff's Department statement reporting the arrest said the drugs Jordening allegedly brought her client were in pill form.

The statement does not indicate what type of drug she's accused of providing her client, or whether it was an illegal substance.

Jordening is being held in county jail on $70,000 bail.

I just heard a report that she did not provide an illegal substance and was released. It was some herbal pills to help induce sleep. Hopefully the reporter of this article will update!

It matters very little what drug she tried to slip to this prisoner. She knows better....or does she? Lawyers. Gotta love 'em.

Matters as far as the law is concerned! I just cannot understand why she would risk her career, reputation & livelihood.

Bren, No need to vent your pent up anger at white people. Your statement is a perfect example ofRead More reverse racism. We live in an country where there are different races and different languages but the native language is English and to omit that language from any sign that was paid for by tax payers is a slap in the face.
