Narcotics Bust Update: Pacifica Grow Site Locations Revealed

Residences were uninhabited

Two of the seven grow sites shut down in the culmination of a conducted by Pacifica Police, the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force and other law enforncement agencies were in Pacifica, said Marc Alcantara, commander of the San Mateo County Narcotics & Vehicle Theft Task Forces.

One site which was raided on Tuesday was located on the unit block of Westcliff Court in the Fairmont District of Pacifica and the other was located 200 block of El Derado Drive, also in the Fairmont District. 

No Pacifica residents were arrested, explained Alcantara, because the locations were not being lived in by marijuana growers.

"People just use them to cultivate marijuana," said Alcantara. "Staying inside of a place like that is not really conducive to one's health."

10 Bay Area residents were arrested, however, and are appearing in a South San Francisco court today. They are charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale, criminal conspiracy, and theft of utilities.
