Daly City Music Instructor Arrested For Alleged Lewd Acts on 3 Girls

A Danville music instructor has been arrested in connection with sexual assaults on three juvenile girls, according to the Daly City Police Department.

Police said Brian Butts, 28, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of lewd acts on a child.

Butts was a substitute music teacher at Daly City's MusicArt Studio, School of Music and Fine Arts, for a brief time while the owner was out of the country, according to San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe, NBC Bay Area reports.

Wagstaffe said three teen girls allege Butts touched them on their chests, according to NBC.

Police said the incidents occurred between April and June of this year.

Butts pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of lewd and lascivious behavior on Monday, according to NBC.  He's jailed on $1.5 million bail.

Anyone with information regarding Butts is asked to contact Det. Ron Harrison of the Daly City Police Department at (650) 991-8175.
