Mountain Lion Cub Seen in Montara Backyard

Residents advised never to approach a mountain lion.

A mountain lion cub was seen in Montara on Sunday evening, San Mateo County emergency officials said.

A woman reported seeing the cub in the backyard of her home in the 1400 block of Ivy Street at about 7 p.m.

Residents who see a mountain lion are advised never to approach the animal, especially one that is feeding or with offspring.
