Man Convicted of Raping Teen Daly City Girl He Met Via Facebook

Prosecutors said Osejo raped a 13-year-old Daly City girl he had initiated a relationship with through Facebook in 2012.

A San Francisco man was convicted Wednesday on several sex crimes including forcible rape, forcible molestation and three counts of solicitation of molestation, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.

Alberto Osejo, 24, was convicted on nine felony counts in all and faces more than 57 years in state prison when he is sentenced Aug. 29, Wagstaffe said.

Prosecutors said Osejo raped a 13-year-old Daly City girl he had initiated a relationship with through Facebook in 2012.

An additional victim, the girl's cousin, also came forward and said she had also been raped by Osejo, prosecutors said.
