I-280 to Hwy 92 Connector Ramp Reopens Following Fatal Crash

The connector ramp from northbound Interstate Highway 280 to eastbound state Highway 92 has reopened this evening after being closed for more than a day by a .

A 54-year-old man identified as Steve Nelson of Lodi was killed in the 10:47 p.m. solo-vehicle accident Friday that shut down the ramp, according to San Mateo County Coroner's Office.

The crash caused a big-rig to overturn and damaged a light pole and guardrail along the roadway, according to the California Highway Patrol. Crews were on scene this afternoon removing large chunks of conrete and
debris and repairing the roadway.

The CHP issued a Sig-alert warning of the closed ramp at 11:26 p.m. The ramp reopened at 6:30 p.m.
