How to Report Abandoned Vehicles in Your Pacifica Neighborhood

Is there an eyesore in your neighborhood? Here's the information you need to get rid of it.

Some neighborhoods in Pacifica have them — vehicles that are parked for weeks or months and you have no idea who owns them. Leaves gather beneath them and a layer of dust forms.

According to the Pacifica Police Department, an abandoned vehicle is one that has been left on a city street for more than 72 hours without moving more than 1/10 of a mile or is otherwise inoperable.

You don’t have to put up with these eyesores.

  • make/model of vehicle (if known)
  • license plate number (if known)

When Pacifica Police officers are not attending to higher priority issues, they will process reporting of abandoned vehicles. The police department will send someone over to tag the vehicle. If it’s not moved in a timely manner it will be towed.
