Pacifica House Fire Displaces Four Residents, Injures One

The fire occurred on Tuesday on Genevieve Avenue in Pacifica.

A house fire in Pacifica displaced four occupants and put one person in the hospital for smoke inhalation Tuesday, North County Fire Authority officials said.

The fire was reported at 12:42 p.m. in the 300 block of Genevieve Avenue in Pacifica, according to fire officials. Firefighters arrived and found smoke and flames coming from the second floor bedroom of a single family home.

Fire companies opened up the roof to provide ventilation and utilized hose lines to contain the fire to the floor and room of origin.

Crews stayed at the home for about one and a half hours to monitor any spread.

No firefighters were injured but one resident of the home was transported to Seton Medical Center in Daly City for smoke inhalation.

Four occupants were displaced by the fire and will be residing with friends and relatives, officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Prevention Services Bureau.
