High Speed Motorcycle Chase Ends in Arrest

Pacifica Police attempted to stop the driver, but he failed to yield and continued northbound at a high rate of speed.

A motorcycle driver was arrested early this morning in San Francisco for evading a Pacifica Police officer.

At 12:34 a.m. Wednesday, the officer attempted to stop the motorcycle for traveling at a high rate of speed, in excess of 80 MPH, northbound on Highway 1 near Interstate 280.

The driver of the motorcycle failed to yield and continued northbound at a high rate of speed toward the 19th Avenue exit in San Francisco.

In the area of Crespi Drive and 19th Avenue, the driver collided with another vehicle. He was then transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment and placed under arrest.

The suspect arrested has been identified as Sean French, a 21-year-old Walnut Creek resident.
