Update: Head-On Collision Closes Highway 1 at Devil's Slide This Morning

Traffic is being turned around in both Pacifica and Montara.

UPDATE, 9:10 a.m.: All lanes of Highway 1 at Devil's Slide have reopened this morning after a head-on crash blocked traffic for more than an hour, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision was reported near Devil's Slide at about 7:15 a.m., CHP Officer Scott Cakebread said.

One person was taken to Stanford Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, Cakebread said.
The crash remains under investigation by the CHP.

Original post, 7:30 a.m.:

A head-on collision was reported on Devil's Slide at 7:10 a.m. this morning.

Lanes are closed in both directions. Traffic is being turned around in Pacifica and Montara.

Use alternate routes for your morning commute today.
