Half Moon Bay Releases Police Service Outsourcing Bids from Pacifica and San Mateo County Sheriff

Copies of the bids were released by the City of Half Moon Bay early this evening.

On Tuesday, the City of Half Moon Bay released proposals from the city of Pacifica and the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office to provide police services for the city.

“Both proposals have been carefully thought out and could yield significant cost savings while maintaining or enhancing service levels,” said Laura Snideman, Half Moon Bay city manager.  “We appreciate the thought that went into the bids and believe this process has resulted in strong, fiscally sound options.”

"Through the competitive bidding process, we have received proposals that can stretch our dollars and provide us with the same level of protection we have always enjoyed,” said Mayor Naomi Patridge.
