Cyclist in Critical Condition After Crash on Terra Nova

The adult male was found lying on the sidewalk, unresponsive with facial injuries.

A cyclist is in critical condition after he crashed near Oddstad Boulevard and Terra Nova Boulevard yesterday evening, police announced today. 

the North Coast County Fire Authority and American Medical Response units responded to reports of the adult male lying on the sidewalk at about 5:55p.m. Tuesday, Pacifica Police Chief Jim Tasa said. 

Officers and medical units found the man unresponsive with facial injuries, Tasa said.

He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. 

Tasa said that police are investigating the crash, and at this point it's unclear if a motor vehicle was involved or if the man fell due to a mechanical failure of the bicycle.
