Crews Extinguish Single Alarm House Fire Monday Morning

An arriving company reported seeing smoke rising from a single-family residence on Eastridge Circle.

North County Fire Authority crews extinguished a single alarm house fire on Eastridge Circle in Pacifica this morning.

The first of six fire companies to arrive reported seeing smoke billowing from a two-story single-family residence and attempted to extinguished the flames with a hose, Matt Lucett, public information officer with North County Fire, said. The fire had spread to the home’s attic space, however, and crews remained on scene for about an hour and half to finish the job.

Residents reported no injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

“The North County Fire Authority wants to remind residents to never leave unattended food cooking on the stovetop, as well as the importance of installing and maintaining smoke detectors in the home,” Lucett said.
