Climber Rescued From Cliff at Mussel Rock Park

The rescue operation lasted for about an hour. The climber was uninjured.

North Coast County Fire Authority units responded to a report of a climber in distress near Mussel Rock Park in Daly City at about 4:37 p.m. Monday.

The first units to arrive spotted a climber trapped on a cliffside approximately 200 feet down from the parking lot on Westline Drive, NCCFA spokesman Matt Lucett said.

Crews set up a rescue operation with a cable winch and rope for back-up, Lucett said, and the uninjured climber was brought to the top of the bluff.
