By Bay City News Service:

A car struck a 12-year-old boy Tuesday night when he entered a road in Pacifica between two parked cars, police said Wednesday.

The collision was reported at 9:33 p.m. in the 400 block of Monterey Road.

The boy was taken to a hospital to be treated for a leg injury that is not considered life-threatening, police said.

A preliminary investigation by police indicated that the boy entered the roadway by walking in between parked vehicles. Speed does not appear to be a factor in the collision, according to police.

Pacifica police are continuing to investigate the incident.
