Arrests Made in Burglary of Cultural Center

All four suspects are Pacifica residents. The burglary occurred Thursday at the cultural arts center at Oddstad Park.

Four suspects were arrested in connection with a burglary at a cultural arts center at Oddstad Park Thursday, police said.

Police responded to 1050 Crespi Dr. at 9:33 a.m. on report of a burglary that had occurred in the building which houses the Pacifica Spindrift Players, a nonprofit group that creates theater for the Pacifica community.

Officers arrested two suspects at the scene and further police investigation led to the arrest of two additional suspects later in the day.

Police located Pacifica resident Jasmine Vardigans, 20, at the scene. She was arrested and booked into the county jail for burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy.

Police also located Joshua Shargel, 21, of Pacifica, at the scene. He was arrested and booked into the county jail for burglary and conspiracy, police said.

Pacifica police detectives identified two additional suspects, Sarah Courtney, 19, and Russel Basques, 20, both of Pacifica. Courtney was arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy. She was booked into county jail, police said. Basques was arrested for burglary and conspiracy. He was also booked into county jail, police said.

Police recovered numerous items, including equipment used by the Pacifica Spindrift Players. The investigation remains under investigation.

No, good job Spindrift staffers who found one asleep in a car in their lot, notified police, and then another upstairs in the theatre..

This is pathetic...four local young adults who have nothing better to do than break into a building and steal...four lives changed forever once they have a criminal record...just pathetic! Something HAS to change - our society is falling apart. This is just another example of youth without boundaries and respect...
