Stay Involved In Your Child's Text-ing

Insta-Gram is the new Home Wrecker!

My son Griffin loves snapping photos from his iPhone and sharing them with friends. He makes time-lapse animated shorts using sea shells and starfish.

Griffin and I discussed creating a ‘Vine’ Account to get more ideas.  His friends also have ‘Vine’ Accounts as well.  Because Griffin is still so young I prefer to stay tuned in and stay involved in the art everyone is sharing via cell phones.

During dinner one night I asked Griffin to hand over his phone.  He was agitated and resistant.  I demanded the phone and grabbed it over the bowl of cauliflower.

I read the reply from a sweet little boy from the neighborhood.  I’ll call him Tom Petty.  The text message Tom Petty had sent to my son made me so sick I couldn’t finish dinner, (no problem because it was cauliflower anyway).  The words texted by this boy made me want to wash my eyeballs with ethanol and a Brillo pad!

I called his Mom immediately!  I emailed her a picture of the text her son Tom Petty had sent to Griffin.

She simply said, “Oh, Tom Petty was just kidding.”

My reply to Tom Petty's Mom, “Great disciplinary action, Just Kidding!”
