Play Date KEY Word: RECIPROCATE. RECIPROCATE. RECIPROCATE.

My son Griffin (8) has a friend Bronson, (9). They are like two peas in a pod. Bronson has the personality of a young showbiz kid. He gets all my ridiculous, old timey jokes...well, at least he gives me a courtesy laugh every time I tell a dumb Abbott & Costello one-liner. I love this kid! His parents are both Doctors. Mother is a popular SF Veterinarian. Seemingly occupied and very busy. So I've been taking Bronson everywhere Griffin and I go!

If we get tickets for latest flick in theaters, we bring Bronson.
If we hit Marine World, we bring Bronson.
If we surf Linda Mar, we bring an extra board for Bronson.
If we take a ferry ride to Sausalito, we bring Bronson.
If we go for Nutella Crepes at High Tide, we bring Bronson.

Well, after a year........ Bronson's parents have never once RECIPROCATED.

Regretfully, I had to set my boundaries, as much as my son Griffin enjoys Bronson's company.  I have to wait for his parents to be fair in having the company of Griff.'  After all...?  Poor Griffin always wonders why he's never seen their house.

Well, it was the Last Straw....

After arriving home after I had taken the boys for a visit to the SF MOMA, Bronson's mother pulled up to my driveway to pick up Brosnson. "Hi-Brow-Vet-Mom" in her Volvo XC90, didn't even roll down her window to thank me! Bronson hopped into the Volvo and away they sped.

There must be common grounds of respect, even in event parents are not fond of each another.  But "Hi-Brow-Vet-Mom" has never given me opportunity to form opinion because she's never had the courtesy of introducing herself, ever. Don't even know what she looks like!
Well,  I did set my boundaries with "Hi-Brow-Vet-Mom".
Griffin has still been waiting for an invitation from them.
Poor, lovable Bronson asks why he's not invited with us anywhere lately. Hmmm,  I'll have to send a nice box of tissues.

These are Play Dates; Not free Au Pair Care!
"Hi-Brow-Vet-Mom" needs to get a clue.
