Pipes, Poetry, and Praise in Pacifica
Video: Friday night at Nick's was hopping with song and poetry in honor of the 2012 Elna Flynn Award winners and district teachers.
This year's Elna Flynn Awards Dinner was a full house of educators and community volunteers at Nick's Restaurant eager to cheer honorees with champagne toasts and pom pom salutes.
The audience was entertained by poetry written and read by Vallemar School's Ofelia Lee in honor of the district's teachers followed by the soulful singing of longtime District Music Coordinator and Cabrillo School Principal, Thomas Stafford.
