Pacifica Death Notices

Some of the people with ties to Pacifica who passed away recently.

Jacquelyn Gustafson, a resident of Pacifica, was raised in San Francisco and employed by Jefferson Union High School district for 28 years. She passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 1 after a long hard fight with esophageal cancer. 

Raymond S. Guinasso, born in San Francisco, worked for City Park for more than 20 years. He also worked over 10 years for the United States Post Office in Pacifica. He passed away after a short illness on Aug. 26 at the age of 51.

Robert E. Carroll, a long time resident of Pacifica where he worked as a general contractor, passed away at the age of 78 on Sept. 22 due to long term illness. He had retired to Copco Lake, where he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Norma Jean Sutton, who raised four children with her husband in Pacifica from 1956 to 1983, passed away Sept. 19 after complications from a fall. She was born in Boulder, Colorado in 1929 and moved to Bend, Oregon as a child. She is survived by her husband, four children and 12 grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with her family. 

Fred L. Peterson, a resident of Pacifica for more than 35 years, was born and raised in San Francisco. He was a respected businessman in Pacifica and later moved to the community of Foresthill in 2001. He is survived by his wife of 61 years.
