My Oroweat Outlet Shopping Trip

Awesome savings by going to the Oroweat Bread Outlet in South San Francisco!

Have you ever been to the Oroweat Outlet in South San Francisco? It’s such a wonderful place to go to save money on bread and other goodies available there, such as Entenmann’s donuts & cakes, tortillas, and packages of mixes from Bob’s Red Mill.

I made a trip over there the other day and scored big! Here’s what I purchased: (see photo, right)

The Oroweat Outlet offers free items if you spend a certain amount of dollars, plus you can get a punch card for your purchases which will get you more free items when you fill it up. With what was purchased in the picture above, I received two free items from their special rack. I chose the package of sourdough rolls & sliced healthfull heart wheat bread….which retails for approximately $8.49 for both. That alone is a great savings.  I’ve got a breakdown below of examples of what Safeway is charging (based on prices online) and what you can pay at the Outlet (what I paid is in bold print):

Francisco French Rolls $3.00 (on sale currently at Safeway)                           $2.38

Cinnabon Cinnamon Bread $5.49                                              $1.99

Roman Meal Sliced Wheat bread $3.69                                  $2.19

Thomas New York Style Plain Bagels $5.09                            $1.99

Entenmanns Powdered Popettes $3.89                                 $1.99

Entenmanns Coffee Cake Cheese Crumb $5.79                  $1.99

Oroweat Sandwich Thins $4.39                                                  $1.00

Pretty amazing price differences, eh? Now I’m sure not everyone has three freezers available like I do, but when I get the opportunity to stock up, I do. If you notice, the last item was only $1.00. They have a rack specifically for their “Dollar Deal of the Day” which has different items on it daily.  Also, all the items you see above were not just for my household….We did buy some things for my mom and for a friend.  I walked out of there with three big bags full of items and all I paid was $17.32! That’s an approximate savings of $25.51, based on the prices I found at Safeway.com.

Wrapping up, I enjoy going to the Oroweat Outlet whenever I’m out that way….they keep their store very clean and well organized and the staff is very helpful….that makes the trip even more worth it. If you happen upon an Oroweat Outlet in your travels, I suggest stopping & checking them out…..and if you do, let me know! I really enjoy hearing about other people’s shopping trips and their savings!

Well that’s it for now, until next time……Have a great day!
