Chasing Mavericks Movie coming to Pacifica

Announcing Chasing Mavericks movie coming to Pacifica.  This first rate film shot between Pacifica and Santa Cruz shows our coast with many of our own surfers and extras.  The true story about Jay Moriarity and his drive to surf Mavericks big waves is sure to inspire and amaze you. 

Come celebrate Mavericks, Jay Moriarity, big wave surfers, and our Coastside!  Bring the family, the friends, the neighbors... plan a date for March 22nd!  
The Pacifica Beach Coalition's Annual Surf Movie fundraiser Chasing Mavericks will be held on Saturday, March 22nd at the Mildred Owen Concert Hall 1220 Linda Mar Blvd, Pacifica, CA.  There will be two shows,  5pm and 8pm.  Doors open at 4.30pm for the first show.

Special guests Frosty Hesson (Jays Mentor and friend) and Mavericks Surf Stars are planning to join us and share  insights about Jay, Mavericks surfing, and the "Live Like Jay" spirit.  Frosty is a living legend... known well for his big wave surfing, surf mentoring, and very large laugh he uses to greet you!!

Come join us, have fun among friends and experience how to "Live Like Jay".  All proceeds will support the Pacifica Beach Coalition's 10th Earth Day of Action Event which will be held on April 26th, 2014.  

 The PBC is proud to have inspired 8500 volunteers including over 100 businesses and 150 community groups to pitch in to pickup litter, restore habitat, plant trees, and garden at the 2013 Earth Day event.  Over 15,000 pounds of trash, recycle and green waste were removed from local streets, beaches, parks, bluffs, and open spaces.
