Pedro Point Habitat Restoration Day - May 20th

Meet for Habitat Restoration on the Pedro Point Headlands this Sunday. Fun for all and a chance to learn about native and non native plants and to make a difference at this most beautiful open space.

Please join us if you can for our monthly Habitat Restoration work day at the Pedro Point HeadlandsDATE:  Sunday, May 20th   TIME: 9.45AM-1.00PM                                          

MEETING PLACE: Please meet at the Pedro Point firehouse on Danmann Avenue  in Pacifica.  We will load up our tools and carpool to the Headlands together.
Some of the tasks we will work on will be: 

  • remove a huge french broom just above the green gate 
  • check on / water plants on the newly planted slide area (velvet grass is growing in clumps)
  • Cut tree trunk off of Arroyo Trail
  • French Broom and Pampas Grass removal from new property (We are going to have fun here!!!)
  • Widen Middle Ridge Trail

We'll also check out the wildflowers, birds and any mammals we are lucky to find.  And, most importantly, we will have a wonderful time with amazing people.  Long pants and long sleeve shirts are recommended.  We will bring drinks, please bring a reusable water bottle.

Ticks and Poison Oak unfortunately are native.  We exercise caution and can teach you about both if you are unfamiliar with them.  For questions contact Lynn
