Help Plan Future Events with the Pacifica Beach Coalition

The Pacifica Beach Coalition seeks new members to help with beach, street, school cleanups, habitat restoration, and other community improvement projects that engage and educate the public.

On Tuesday, Jan. 10, the Pacifica Beach Coalition is having an Earth Day planning meeting and we are looking for new volunteers to help out. We'll be breaking out into teams including media & outreach, Earth Day celebration, fundraising (Party on the Point, Surf Movie Night, etc.), educational programs, window painting contest (more details coming soon), etc. We'll also be choosing the theme of Earth Day this year - last year it was the California Grey Whale.

We could really use new ideas and extra hands to help out. Sherry Flumerfelt who joined the PBC when she first moved to Pacifica says, "I've love it. It's a great way to meet members of the community and to make a difference in Pacifica."

If you are interested in becoming a Pacifica Beach Coalition member or helping out with Earth Day, just show up at the meeting Tuesday, Jan. 10 or contact the Pacifica Beach Coalition at Pickituppacifica@gmail.com for future meeting dates.  We have refreshments! The meeting starts at 6p.m. at the at 104 Hilton Way.
