Will You Please Adopt Me?

Izzy is a 7-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer temporarily living in Belmont.

Have you been thinking of adopting a dog but haven't yet taken the plunge?

If so, now may be a good time to meet Izzy, a 7-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer that has taken up residence at a home in Belmont temporarily, until she finds a permanent home.

Izzy was abandoned at a shelter near Sacramento, and was taken in by a German Shorthaired Pointer rescue group that had her spayed and checked out by a veterinarian, according to Izzy's caretaker Dalia Wood.

"She is a very high energy breed, and she would do best in a home that has experience with either pointers, weimeraners, or aussies so they know how much exercise is required," she told Patch.

In addition, the rescue group recommends childen in the home be older than 8.
