Pacificans Win Assemblyman Jerry Hill's Quiet Hero Award

Dorothy and Mel Bolton, Sr. were recognized for their work with the San Mateo County Blue Star Moms.

Congratulations to Pacificans Dorothy and Mel Bolton, Sr. on receiving The Quiet Hero Award by Assemblyman Jerry Hill (19th District) in appreciation for their volunteer service with the San Mateo County Blue Star Moms.

Dorothy and Mel were nominated by Amy O'Campo of the San Mateo County Blue Star Moms, a local military mothers support group to receive this award for all the volunteer work they do for our troops serving overseas.

They collect donations that are left in the three collection canisters in Pacifica, attend fundraising activities held by the group and assist with separating all the donations prior to the packing days to send care packages to our troops.
