Just a quick update from Union Square, re: , who has just surpassed the 31.5 hour mark (in his attempt to for bell-ringing as a representative of the Salvation Army)!

  • 10p.m. will start hour number 37, officially breaking the current world record for bell ringing.
  • Captain Butch hopes to reach 48 hours, which will occur at 9a.m. tomorrow.
  • The field of contestants has narrowed to only 15 individuals. Details on remaining individuals available here
  • Updates and photos  from Butch Soriano and other competitors available on Twitter: @SalvationArmySF or #RingItOn
