EQUAL!

I awoke early the morning of June 26th to witness the decision of the Supreme Court. Anxious. Afraid to fully hope. What would happen? And then the anouncement, DOMA is voided. In that moment our marriage became fully equal, equal to every other marriage. I walked outside and hung the flag outside our door. Equal. Finally. The rest of the day was a wirlwind, a Rally in Redwood City - where 30 days from now couples will gather for their own marriage licenses. Evening came, the Surf Spot sporting a rainbow cake - our friends at Vallmar Station celebrating with us. Equal. Truly equal.
