Local Veterans Honored at Annual Breakfast and You're Invited

The Pacifica American Legion Post 238's Veteran's Day Breakfast has attracted over 80 guests in recent years, filling the hall to near capacity.

This Sunday members of the Pacifica American Legion Post 238 will host its annual S.O.S. Breakfast from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Legion Hall at 555 Buel Avenue.

"Come taste what we use to have in the service," said Allan Hale, Pacifica American Legion Post hall manager, "and everyone is welcome to come."

Members of the Pacifica police and fire departments, local community leaders and the public are invited to enjoy a traditional military-style breakfast with traditional chipped beef on toast known as “S.O.S.” Also on the menu: scrambled eggs, hash browns and Spam. Fresh pastry, fresh fruit and assorted fruit juices will also be served for hearty civilian appetites.
