Scouting for Food and Used Eyeglasses drive notification

On Saturday, November 12th, Boy Scouts of all ages from the Pacific Skyline Council distributed door hangers throughout San Mateo and Northern Santa Clara Counties advertising next Saturday's, November 19th, 2011 "Scouting for Food" collection drive.  The annual drive benefits local food banks and charities, including the Pacifica Resource Center.

New this year, in addition to collecting food items, the Boy Scouts and Lions Clubs have joined forces to also recycle and donate used eyeglasses to the needy in developing countries.
