The Little Theater That Could

In the true spirit of “The show must go on,” the cast of
the Pacifica Spindrift Players latest production of “Noises Off” has been
through the proverbial wringer in the past month.
“Noises Off,” by Michael Frayn, is arguably one of the
funniest plays ever written; it is also one of the most difficult to produce. A
British farce about a wacky cast of actors rehearsing and performing a play. The
second act requires the entire set to be rotated, revealing the backstage and
all the shenanigans that ensue.

With the Spindrift Theatre yellow- tagged due to a
sagging roof, the actors have been rehearsing in a small gallery space, ever
hopeful of finding a new home.
Thanks to the generous assistance of the Jefferson Union
High School District, the show has thankfully relocated to the theater of the
defunct Serramonte High School campus, now Serramonte del Rey, the current
offices of the JUHSD.
This is a fantastically funny play-within-a-play,
performed by some of the most talented actors in the Bay Area today. Hearing
echoes of Mickey and Judy, we are ecstatic to have found a stage for our show.
All we need now is you, the audience. The actors playing actors portraying
actors producing a play are counting on you.
