MCC Agenda for Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Seton at 7:00 p.m.

Highlights of the agenda for the MCC Regular Meeting next Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Seton Medical Center Coastside, Marine Boulevard & Etheldore, Moss Beach.


Directions: (Take Highway 1 to Marine Boulevard and follow hospital signs uphill)


MCC attendees must park in upper Events Parking lot (first left near top of hill) per hospital policy.

The Council will be discussing and may take action on the following Regular Agenda Items:

  • Coastal Access & Views from County Rights-of-Way in Montara - (7:30) (30 minutes) Continued discussion on a presentation on coastal access issues between 7th St. and Montara Beach given on 10/24/12 but was cut short by curfew. This is in preparation for County visit to MCC meeting on 12/12/12.

  • Desired Outcome: Give the community and Council time to discuss all concerns brought forth by the presentation in preparation for County visit to MCC on 12/12/12.

  • Review of La Costanera Restaurant History - (8:00) (30 minutes) Review history of La Costanera Restaurant, Montara, (FKA Chart House) issues in preparation for the County’s Negative Declaration for the La Costanera Use Permit Renewal expected on 12/10.

  • Desired Outcome: Update the community and Council on past issues with this property. Consider a letter to SMC Planning Commission to move its agenda item from 1/9/13 to 1/23/13 to allow for holiday recess.

  • Highway 1 Committee - Erickson (8:30) (30 minutes) Discussion on forming an MCC Committee to focus on Hwy 1 Study Circulation and Parking. Formalize the committee’s structure, topic boundaries, and goals.

  • Desired Outcome: Possible action will be the formation of a committee.
