MCC Agenda for Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at GSD at 7:00 p.m.

Highlights of the agenda for the regular MCC meeting next Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Granada Sanitary District Meeting Room, 504 Avenue Alhambra, 3rd Floor, El Granada.


4.    Regular AgendaThe Council may take action on the following items:



a. Process for Public Forums on Highway 1 Improvement Projects (7:15 - Calderón) Presentation on how the MCC and Supervisor Horsley will partner to plan co-sponsored public forums to educate the community and collect public feedback on the Highway 1 projects funded by the Transportation Authority's Measure A Congestion Management Program.

Desired Outcome: Two MCC members will be appointed to work with county staff to plan public outreach forums for Highway 1 projects.


b. MCC Meeting Start Time Change to 7PM (7:45 - Ketcham) The council will evaluate the nine-meeting trial period, from September to present, in which MCC meetings began at 7PM.

Desired Outcome: Council will vote on moving its regular starting time to 7:00PM


c. MCC Regular Meeting Place Change to Granada Sanitary District (GSD) (7:55 - Stein) Designate GSD Meeting Room as the regular MCC meeting place.


Desired Outcome: Council will vote on moving its regular meeting place from Seton Hospital to Granada Sanitary District, 504 Alhambra, 3rd floor, El Granada. Included in the vote will be approval of forms and policies related to use of the room.


d. Impact of Special Events on the Midcoast (8:15 - Kehoe) Using Dream Machines as an example: presentation by Chad Hooker and David Vespremi


Desired outcome: Request Supervisor Horsley to remove Dream Machines from Board of Supervisors Consent Agenda to allow for public comment.


e. Special Events Process for the Unincorporated Midcoast (8:30 - Kehoe) The Council will discuss asking the County to establish a process for setting limitations/restrictions for special events that impact Midcoast residents.


Desired Outcome: Approve a letter to the County to work with the Council on setting the criterion and process for holding special events that impact the residents in the unincorporated Midcoast.
