With New Year’s comes forth the age-old tradition of setting resolutions. Countless Bay area residents will be making a resolution that may very well save their lives - to quit smoking. Like many other New Year’s resolutions, quitting smoking can prove a significant challenge for even the most willful individuals. Because smoking is the #1 preventable cause of death in the U.S., Breathe California, in partnership with the San Mateo County Tobacco Prevention Program, announced that it will be offering smoking cessation classes at a number of locations throughout San Mateo County beginning this January.
