Your Friday Morning Exchange: A Missing Couple on Devil's Slide, Middle School Music Programs Facing the Axe and a New Anti-Golf Course Study

  1. Yesterday was all about the cops. First, there was our coverage of an  that killed a Pacifica man. The other driver, who spent most of the day in the hospital, now . Next, there's the ongoing story of a missing southern California couple who have mysteriously . Pacifica Police and the San Mateo County Sheriff's Department continued their search into the night. Stay tuned for more details as the sheriff's office releases them. UPDATE 7:51am: The missing woman dead in a San Francisco apartment yesterday and police have named the missing man a person of interest.  Finally, there was the Pacifica , which includes an a foul-mouthed cat walker, a mountain lion attacking a raccoon and a 16-year-old kicking a pregnant woman in the stomach.
  2. Tomorrow, you'll get a story about a new "peer-reviewed" study that supposedly shows that the best use, economically or otherwise, for the Sharp Park Golf Course, is to turn it into a habitat reserve. Golfers, environmentalists and comment enthusiasts, ready your ergonomic keyboards. 
  3. Band programs at four Pacifica middle schools are in trouble--trouble so deep they might not even exist next year. The Rob Schneider Music Foundation has announced that it can no longer provide money for the salaries of the two music instructors running the show. We'll have more on that later today.
